On CD-i, there are a lot of series that never reached the consumer public. There are more professional CD-i titles compared to consumer titles. Especially in the field of education, several companies created many CD-i titles, including Goldstar, Elsevier, Hachette Multimedia, Philips itself (thanks to the School 2000 project) and also AIMS Media. AIMS Media released this AIMS Instructor series on series between 1994 and 1995. At least 20 editions are known in our archive. All have a subject related to biology, nature and a few are related to the history of the civil war. These were released in USA, and developed together with Philips Interactive Media. The discs do not require the digital video cartridge, all are base case CD-i titles. Like with the other educational CD-i series we are still looking for memories in which schools these have been used and in what kind of purpose: Was it part of a library, was it used in colleges, trainings, high schools, universities? It is like a full themed encyclopedia on CD-i. The 20 editions are as following:
- AIMS Instructor – A First Look at Birds
- AIMS Instructor – A First Look at Mammals
- AIMS Instructor – A First Look at Trees
- AIMS Instructor – Animal Communities
- AIMS Instructor – Animal Life in a Tidepool
- AIMS Instructor – Beavers and How They Live
- AIMS Instructor – Bees and How They Live
- AIMS Instructor – Civil War: 4 Years of War and Its Aftermath
