Another Cinemaware classic that made its way on CD-i and not many people know about that. Caesar's World of Boxing began its life as TV Sports Boxing which was developed by Cinemaware in 1991 for the Commodore Amiga. When Philips POV was started with some key members of Cinemaware, they took the rights with them so they were able to bring Cinemaware classics to CD-i.

In the case of Caesar's World of Boxing, Philips Interactive Media of America was able to obtain the Caesar's license which made them good money: They released two CD-i titles that were holding the Caesar's name: This boxing title and of course Caesar's World of Gambling. But not only that, Philips was also trading the Caesar's name to other companies, for example by licensing Caesar's to Interplay, Philips was able to get a conversion of Interplay's Battle Chess!

Which, unfortunately, never happened in the end, but we still have a working prototype of it.
Philips POV took the basis of TV Sports Boxing and combined it with various FMV footage to follow the FMV hype that CD-i was building on, which resulted in the end product that we know as Caesar's World of Boxing. Another Cinemaware classic on CD-i.
