We say goodbye to Tinin Mantegazza, who created the Dodò in L'Albero Azzurro, available on CD-i and based on the popular RAI children series

The creator behind the Dodo in RAI's L'Albero Azzurro unfortunately died at the age of 89. His creation was very popular in Italy, it feels a bit like the Italian equivalence of Sesame Street. which we know in USA together with Richard Scarry, two popular franchises on CD-i. L'Albero Azzurro means
"The Blue Tree" and it is an Italian children show broadcasted on the Italian RAI channel . It is the longest-running children's program on Italian public television, broadcasted since 21 May 1990. And the nice thing is, they made an interactive CD-i thanks to the subsidy program of Club d'Investissement Media (A media program within the European Union to promote European software projects). It was published by Philips Media and developed by the Italian VideoRAI, in 1994 (exclusive to Italy).

As CD-i member omegalfa sais:"A sad day for the Italian people... and for the Italian culture..."

[Thanks, Marco Parisio Java]
