Philips Media announced in Q3 1996 that all of their CD-i games would be ported to Sega Saturn and Sony Playstation

.... But that never happened. Burn:Cycle was going to be the first title to be published on Sega's and Sony's console as it was the most succesful title out of the Philips Media roster.

When Philips Media heard the news that Philips CEO Boonstra was dropping the CD-i format, they quickly transformed their strategy to keep the Philips Media brand alive. Even in the event that Philips Media was going to be sold (which of course happened) - they could be far more profitable if their games were ported to other platforms as well.


Philips Media embraced CD-ROM after 1995 far better and ported games like Burn:Cycle to CD-ROM as well, but on playstation and saturn I can only find an obscure japanese version of Chaos Control. The others apparently never happened, or the company who bought Philips Media, Infogrames, had different plans with their IP and titles.
