IGT (International Game Technology) is a well known brand in the industry of gambling machines, it still exist and is headquarted in Lodon, UK. Their KENO gambling machines offer games like blackjack, poker, lotteries and slot machines, multinational. IGT (with roots in USA) was eager to use the latest technology to offer the best gaming experience and they experimented with a variety of technology highlights. It appeared they also demo'ed a new KENO coin operated amusement machine based on Philips CD-i technology. This was done somewhere in 1996-1997. The 1996 ICDIA Awards showed a mock-up with keyboard and coin system, including a CD-i version of the KENO lottery software.

We've never found an existing unit that worked on CD-i technoloby though, although our archives to mention IGT having showed it at their technology fair in USA. We're looking for people who have more information on these KENO systems!

[Thanks, Mr. Burns, Jorg Kennis]
