I saved a few test panels from an old project where we looked into the quality of material and the process to print/stamp the logo's on it. At that point in time we investigated other colors and textures for CD-i players as well, but these tests we did for the whole Philips range, including Philishave and DCC. Different surface effects influence the visibility and scratchability of the text. If the MT was more enthusiastic, we could have made players with a different surface effect!
