In the 'I Want One' campaign of Philips promoting CD-i one more time in 1995, they announced a 7-disc changer based on the FW380i Hi-Fi combo set. When you look closely to the pictures, Philips pictured the 7-disc CD-i changer next to the CD-i 210 player. It was going to offer you to insert 7 CD-i discs at a time. That would have been a real innovative idea, unfortunately it never happened.

According to our source, it was going to be the exact same design model as the FW360 which you see above. In itself this looks remarkably the same as the FW380i, of course that is because the FW380i is based on the FW330, the same version with an Audio CD player inside. He even assured me that he had a prototype at work, which sounds amazing. The idea that this prototype is somewhere lying around keeps CD-i interesting, with so many secrets and innovations that were in the end not feasable in a commercial way.
