CD-i member Omegalfa from The World of CD-i turns his website more and more into a preservation project for CD-i titles, the same as what we have on Archive.org, albeit not watermarked. Omegalfa still feels the urge to watermark CD-i items that are not his, so be clear with where it comes from: KailoKyra, The Hidden Palace, The Black Moon Project. Back to the topic: Omegalfa shares with us a nice trivia detail on CD-i games, after surfacing prototype discs of Mega Maze and Othello on CD-i. Mega Maze was released in Europe with catalogue number 8100083 (made by Poly Media, one of the few CD-i developers that lack any history online). Othello was made by Codim and received catalogue number 8100163. That's nice, but then after 25 years, original prototype versions popped up:
As you see below, the catalogue number are mixed up. Mega Maze suddenly holds 81000163 and Othello is catalogued at 8100083. Reason to believe one of them is either fake or a misprint: It is highly unlikely both games were at version 1.02 on the exact same date 21-10-93.
