La Redoute was/is a French mailorder company on fashion (it still exists today) and in the Nineties they adopted CD-i by creating an interactive fashion catalogue. We discovered a first edition last year and today our CD-i member Luca Salerano discovered another spring 1996 version by La Redoute called 'Line Envie de Naturel' - a desire to use natural materials. This subtitle was also on the first catalogue that we found. Below the date ends at september 1996, which marks this as a spring and summer catalogue, still a bit remarkable in view of the time.
From last year:This is another catalog by French mail-order company "La Redoute".
Also works on a PC/Mac. The CD-i displays a catalog about the fashion
brand 'Somewhere' with pics, and there's some content that needs a DV
cart (I couldn't check that, but I expect it to be some clothes models
showing them in different situations". It seems like this is related to
professional early bird home shopping experiments. We've seen the
professional Freemans CD-i disc that holds the same kind of fashion
catalog inside. This was a French mail order company.
