A not so common Japanese CD-i cover (サンプル) of another not so common CD-i title: Gifts to behold shows us music by Aaron Copland

'Gifts to Behold' is a CD-i focused on the music of Aaron Copland, accompanied by American folk art. It is part of the 'Music Gallery Series', a series of CD-i titles which has not been documented or preserved well yet. It holds the ' CD-i Music'  logo. It was developed by Philips ArtSpace in 1991, so it was an early big box release in USA. Even more rare is the European version, as the version above is the European release (we don't see this one often).

What is also interesting is that this disc was also translated to Japanese as an even more rare CD-i version in Japan. This specific disc was recently preserved and scanned, see below:

This appears to be a sample disc, instead of a full release. We've seen this more often and raises the question if these discs eventually ended up in the store of not. I personally like the Japanese signs in the ring code (which sais in fact Sample Disc in Japanese: サンプル, as well as the whole design of these Japanese CD-i discs. As you see, the disc was a CD-i reeady disc, which means you can play it on your CD-Audio player as well.
