Interactive Ventures Incorporated planned a CD-i release of their popular 'Mayo Clinic Family Health Book', a medical encyclopedia in USA which was also released on CD-ROM. This disc was planned to be a CD-i Ready disc, so you can hear the audio separately. The developer claimed it to be the 'Ultimate interactive guide to health'. An interesting title, it may have been released in the professional field on CD-i, but we have never seen an original copy. Original CD-i prototypes like these were often pressed on TDK CDR discs, which appear very hard to dump correctly. This one we can add to the list of encyclopedias on CD-i: Also in The Netherlands, SPC Vision created the Dutch "Medische Encyclopedie" and in Germany we've seen the 'Kursbuch Gesundheit'. Both very informative CD-i discs, although these two were available in the consumer market. Another interesting addition in the CD-i library!
