Philips CD-i offered many titles in the category 'Interactive Storybooks'. Especially in the first years of the CD-i and many of them originating from USA, many of these storybooks are also getting increasingly rare and unknown by CD-i collectors. What do we have here? This is Pegasus, an interactive storybook aimed at children (3 years and above), narrated by Mia Farrow. Mia is an American actress who appeared in more than 50 films. Philips Interactive Media of America (or American Interactive Media by that time) often hired famous actors or actresses to boost interest of these storybooks: It gained much more attention when they were narrated by a famous voice. Pegasus is about 'the mythological adventures of a fabulous winged horse'. There are also some simple 'games' included, referred to as activities like discriminating differences or memory games. The game was also released in France, but this European version is a lot harder to find!
From the box: "The mythological adventures of a fabulous winged horse. The spellbinding story of Pegasus is delightfully told by Mia Farrow, with enchanting music by Ernest Troost. As Perseus slays the monster Medusa, a white winged foal is born and joy
fills the air. The amazing adventures of Pegasus begin as he discovers a
magical spring with wondrous waters, battles an enormous three-headed
demon, attempts a treacherous ride onto Mount Olympus, and gathers
thunderbolts for Zeus. Finally, Pegasus is transformed into a radiant constellation that shines on in the universe for all to see."
