Hotel Mario on CD-i is full of secrets. We told you before about the hidden peace symbol and about the rumoured 8th Hotel. Hotel Mario is also one of earliest console game that actually uses the internal clock to change its intro message. The "HERE WE GO!" screen when loading a game or starting a new one will vary if played in a specific region and on a specific day. (like on new years day, valentine day, mothers day and christmas). There are also exclusive English (like on July 4th and halloween) and French (alludes to King cake and Mardi Gras) messages. CD-i member Videogames Obsession recently shared this (again) and it's nice to create an overview of all the messages that can appear. I wonder, though we know the message changes when the date changes on the internal clock of your CD-i player, it appears Hotel Mario also takes some information of the region that your player is from.
