That might be interesting for us in the CD-i Community. Today an unopened parcel popped up thanks to CD-i member Jacob Davis. This package was sent by Frank Muniz, who was the Senior Director of Software Marketing at Philips Media in Knoxville, USA. On the box there is a model number: KSK302, but that's about it. What could be inside? Looking at the shape it could either be a spare part for CD-i players of some documentations like flyers, catalogues or promotional stuff. Considering the guy behind this and the department he worked at, it looks like this is some marketing material about CD-i.
More when it develops!
The layout of the box marks the time around 1994-1995, when Frank Muniz was actually working at Philips Media. The model number starts with KSK and generally this might say something about the product: for example this could be promotional material that belongs to a KioSK system. Matt Henzel comments: "KSK-302 BK.. Maybe part of a black CD-i Kiosk?"
Ekim Skirdneh: "It has a serialnr. on the box. Most likely Some hardware. Paperwork would be strange to be serialized. And yes it’s very interesting"
[Thanks, Jacob Davis]
