More than 25 years any picture of the involvement of Matsushita was very well hidden and suddenly it popped up on the Japanese Yahoo auction pages. Thanks to Retrostuff we'll find out more about this catalogue soon. In the meantime CD-i member Gluon Van picked up another book about professional possibilities of CD-i in Japan. On the cover we find again the Panasonic CD-i player.
CD-i member Gluon Van: "I bought this Japanese CD-i's reference book. First, this is "Guide of image compression technology". The part about CD-i is limited, but this text is written by Matsushita engineers. The first picture below talks about CD-i's audio and video definitions. The second picture is about the "CD Family" (including CD-i). This page discusses CD-i, CD-i Ready, CD Bridge, Photo CD, and FMV. Very interesting technical guide, and too easy to read."
