A few months back CD-i member Ekim Skirdneh bought the Philips amplifier/receiver FR 732. It was an amplifier by Philips made in the same time as when CD-i and DCC were on the market. And that's why this model has dedicated buttons to switch to the channels of CD-i, which is of course a neat way to connect your CD-i player to an audio setup. Now, a few months later, he found its 'big brother', an upgraded version with more power and options and again with a dedicated CD-i button: the FR 752. Ekim Skirdneh:"Last year I bought the Philips FR732, a receiver with a vcd/cdi label on it. Now I found the bigger brother of this Receiver, this is the Philip FR752/00. This one is pretty heavy.... On the back there is a RC5 plug on the back. Probably it can be connected to the rc5 plug behind some cd-i players to use the same remote for both the amplifier and the CD-i. Would be cool when you can use the RF commander. To turn up the volume"
[Thanks, Ekim Skirdneh, Marco Contezero]
