This german exclusive CD-i package was bundled with Bertelsmann Lexikon. It is the first time we see a slipcase like this, designed to fit over the cardboard box of any 210 that we know of. We've seen colourful packagings like this before, like this yellow one, which was also a german CD-i exclusive with a CD-i 470 player. So instead of an exlclusve box, this was actually just a sleeve around the standard brown cardboard box. We've never seen these slipcases in other countries and both of the units we've spotted now are german exclusives. But they sure attract better attention with these colourful slipcases / sleeves. The attention to Bertelsmann Lexikon gives this a very mature look: Most consoles at that time focused on gaming first and show one of their best titles (like Mario with Nintendo, or Sega's mascot Sonic) - But Philips tried it different with CD-i by promoting the educational side of entertainment more. Digital Video was one highlight of CD-i and Bertelsmann Lexikon of course makes use of that!
