Korean signs on the Korean Goldstar GDI-750 shows this version was built for the Korean market (looking for more korean software!)

We're all happy finding lots of CD-i info about the main European market and a significant American market, but the east territorium remains some kind of a mystery for us. We've found some information about how PIMA was involved in the Japanese market introduction, we've found some prototypes by Japanese companies, we even found some Japan-specific CD-i titles. Also in Korea, hometown of CD-i companion LG-Goldstar, we've found specific software and of course the GDI-750 CD-i player, a redesign of the Philips CD-i 450 player. Some of them, like the one pictured here, have specific korean language signs to point out what certain functions are for, proof for us this version was specifically aimed at the Korean market. We' re still not sure to what extend LG actually sold their players through European or American retail channels, but I've seen different versions of the GDI-750 CD-i player which are most likely local variations.
