We've spent a few articles in the past in how to recognize fake CD-i demonstration disc to prevent people from paying a lot of money for it. Now it also happens the other way around. Various CD-i members would love to play Zelda's Adventure or other rare CD-i titles but they are not willing to pay hundreds of dollars on these CD-i titles. Because unfortunately, many rare CD-i titles are very expensive to buy these days. Step in the CD-i reproduction copies: Companies like Etsy and retrogamelab offer reproduction copies of original CD-i titles for just a fraction of the price. Is it legal? I don't think so, but CD-i appears such a niche market that they are still offering their products for years now. We're wondering who has ever bought one of these reproduction copies, which are, as far as we know, just burnt CDR's and printed paper covers? We'd like to know a bit more of the quality.
