The professional CD-i players, like the 605 and 660 versions, could be upgraded with Digital Video capabilities. But other than with consumer CD-i players, you could not insert a commercial Digital Video Cartridge in any socket. The Digital Video Cartridge for these professional CD-i players were something special, lacking the pins and socket entry, it was more of DIY kit with the PCB and the chips. How did it look? Recently CD-i member iqpower brought us some kits with Digital Video Cartridges intended for professional CD-i players. Let's have a look:
