CD-i member Retrostuff shows us today some unique pictures of the UK CD-i Internet Starter Kit. We've shown you before the CD-i Internet Kit from The Netherlands and even the Web-i Internet Kit in USA, but it seems the UK kit is again something different. Most notably, they did not supply this internet kit with the Philips modem as we known in The Netherlands, but they used the US Robotics Sportster 14k4 modem. Of course the design of the discs is different although they are also branded by CD-Online, the same company who brought CD-i Internet in The Netherlands (and other European countries)
Interesting to see that 'offer' that is mentioned on the packaging runs until 31/12/'95 - The UK CD-i Internet Kit was the first in the world being released in 1995! Also interesting that Retrostuff has the 'Release Version' (without RAM Raid), they re-released the first disc as "Enhanced version" -a unique picture! Below, to compare, the "Ehanced version":
