"The Flowers of Robert Mapplethorpe" is one of the most rare CD-i longbox releases, an exclusive CD-i / Photo CD released by Philips Interactive Media of America and exclusively released in USA. It brings an interactive collection of flower photography of Robert Mapplethorpe. This disc is also playable on Photo CD players, but it lacks the menu structure that the CD-i offers if you do that. The title is actually not really more interactive rather than browsing through a collection of photo's. The CD-i menu structure offers more themes and divides the photographies in different categories, but that's about it. It's mainly the rarity and obscurity of this title that gets the attention of the CD-i community, rather than the technical achievement that we find here. It was an early release, from 1992.
