Third party pointing devices dedicated to CD-i are rare. In the past we cam across a few companies who made them: Tecno Plus released an OEM version of the Philips Gamepad, as well asn an original CD-i joystick. Gamester released a Mega-Drive style gamepad, specifically for CD-i. But this one is also very rare, perhaps you've never seen it before or you remember when we talked it about on this blog many years ago (in 2007, in fact). CD-i member Michiel Roos showed us recently more pictures of his Logitech CD-i Trackman Marble+.
Logitech is known by the CD-i community thanks to the designs of the CD-i touchpad and CD-i gamepad. Both Philips products but they were built by Logitech. On the other hand, the trackball, mouse and roller controller were Philips products made by Kun Ying Enterprises (Genius). Now Logitech also produced a trackball for CD-i which never hit the retail market (at least, not in my neighbourhood ;)). CD-i member Michiel Roos has a prototype for many years now. According to him this was actually in production, let me know if you have ever seen one.

Michiel: "Another rare CD-i accesoires: the Logitech Trackman Marble+. These were used and made by Videotronic IIRC, looking at the PCB it's obvious that this product was bought from Logitech and had it's processor and cable swapped for a CD-i version."
