CD-i member Glen Parsons made a sharp remark when we posted more info of the unreleased CD-i title 'The Case of the Cautious Condor' by Tiger Media. Glen: "Why were so many games developed and never released must be such a waste of money". And that is true. When we take a look at our masterlists, one of the games that were released on CD-i and one of the unreleased CD-i projects, we can see that around 25% of all CD-i game projects was eventually cancelled. In my opinion, a very high number. Does anyone have a clue how this is compared to other rival platforms of this time? Does CD-i indeed have a high number of unreleased projects or was this the same for platforms like CDTV, 3DO and even Sega CD?
Have a look at all unreleased CD-i projects here.
