It appears Nintendo of Japan published various official VCD's (Video CD's) that will perfectly play on your CD-i player. These VCD's are used in Japan to promote their videogames on the by that time current platforms: Game Boy Color and N64. Video CD was not a format that was used by Nintendo often neither does any of their consoles support this format, but the Video CD format (White book standard) was interesting enough for Nintendo to use it for their promotional videos. It was at a time that internet was not really common, considering the releasedate of N64 I expect these Video CD's to be dated 1996-1997.
