Designed to control Family Use is built into the program" That's what was originally on the USA covers of Voyeur, to inform adults that if they would use the title in a family house, there was some protection to prohibit access to the 18+ content for kids. In the case of Voyeur, the code is 3333. In the game, you can change the code to any code you want; but if you're kids were clever enough they could just delete the memory entry of Voyeur and the code would jump back to 3333.
These were the days that no parental controls existed, like we now know on, for example, the newer Nintendo consoles. Even age restricting was very new. Some titles in the USA were tested and had a logo with an age restriction, but that's not always the case. In Europe, ELSPA rated many CD-i titles but the early ones simply didn't have it.
More CD-i titles with X-rated or adult material are protected from unauthorized usage of children by means of an access code. You need to enter this code, which is usually described in the booklet, to access the disc. In some circumstances you can change this code which is then stored in NV-RAM.
Just in case you hid the booklet of a particular title too well, these are the access codes for some of the adult CD-i titles that have been produced:

- Girls - Serge Jacques: 019
- Strip Poker Live: QQQQK
- Uncover featuring Tatjana: 1492 - Hereafter you must enter your own code. If you forgot it, just erase the appropriate entry from the Memory or Storage screens in the player shell.
- Voyeur: 3333 - Hereafter you have the option to enter your own code. If you forgot it, just erase the appropriate entry from the Memory or Storage screens in the player shell.
- Vegas Girls: 1234
