And that's why JIM released more kids games on CD-i rather than games. After 1994 it seems to have stopped anyway, I didn't find any japanese releases of 1995 or later. Let's have a look at the kids CD-i games that JIM (Pony Canyon) released in Japan. It's remarkable that, while Japan is a big market in the world of videogames, information about CD-i in Japan is really rare. On none of the existing CD-i websites (except for Interactive Dreams) you can find something back about CD-i in Japan, Japan Interactive Media, Pony Canyon, Marantz and PIMA in Japan. All the titles you see here were published by Japan Interactive Media. To find more about CD-i in Japan, click on the label ' Japan' below this message or in the search bar.

The American Richard Scarry titles were also translated in japanese:

The same goes for Sesa Street. Well known in USA, less known in Japan but JIM translated the Sesame Street CD-i titles also in Japanese:

These CD-i titles will be included in our new CD-i catalogue which will be launched in 2020 :)

[Thanks, Gamest]
