CD-i developer Gameblabla developed the second CD-i homebrew game 'Super Quartet' in December 2018. He recently returned to CD-i development by updating CD-i tools originally made by Charles Doty, the guy who ported Frog Feast to CD-i, as the first CD-i homebrew game ever in 2007.
Gameblabla: "A while back, cdoty (Rastersoft) released a bunch of tools for converting graphics to the Philips CDI's CLUT8 format and extracting ADPCM files from AIFF files. I've cleaned them up so they can be run under Linux. These are several tools written in C to convert graphics in CDI format (CLUT8), Extracting ADPCM files from AIFF files as well as a simple tool for padding. These were originally written by Charles Doty for Frog Feast and he released the source code a while later. The tools however needed a C++ compiler as well as Windows header files so i partially rewrote them to remove the dependency on Windows functions/headers."
Find the updated CD-i tools here! For any aspiring CD-i developer, these tools are very helpful to convert graphics to the CD-i format!
[Thanks, Gameblabla]
