The CD-i 180 prototype design was introduced to the public in this September 1989 issue of ACE magazine

In ACE Magazine (Advanced Computer Enetertainment), issue 24 (September 1989), the Philips CD-i system and platform was introduced, revealing this prototype to the public. As you know, this prototype was eventually not the design that was mass-produced, but one of these prototypes is available in the Home Computer Museum in Helmond, The Netherlands, as part of the biggest public CD-i exhibition. It's interesting to browse through these magazines as they link many companies that have plans to 'jump on the wagon' or that had plans to release something on CD-i. Companies like Atari and Amstrad we linked before to CD-i, it was, as indicated, planned to be the next big thing ...
