A new update from The World of CD-i: Here you can find some better pictures of the Autralian disc 'Queensland - Australia's Sunshine State' - Where the Rainforest meets the Reef', published by Disctronics and manufactured in Australia. It is part of the Queensland Tourist & Travel Corporation series of tourism discs. In fact, the front has a CD-i label on it but the insdes only speak of a Data Storage CD. Alan from the former CD-i Zone shared this in 2013 with us here, but now he made some better pictures. We're not really sure if this a CD-i at all, we don't see any interactive parts and it looks like, as it was tested on a LG CD-i player and it was picked up as 'VCD', a MPEG part is on it that is playable on MPEG compatible players, including CD-i. In fact, various discs that have a MPEG part on it, are labelled CD-i but the disc itself is not really according the Green Book. Moreover, Disctronics was/is a UK brand, so we're not sure if this disc was just printed in Australia or distributed in Australia. Still, another nice CD-i mentioning on a rare CD-i disc.
[Thanks, Alan and Omegalfa]
