Interesting exercise to emulate one of the BGM-CD's on CD-i Emulator 0.53 beta 4 and MAME, something that CD-i members VWS and Retrostuff tried. "I tried it with cdiemu and only get Title has expired. The date always jumps back to 2021 and I really don't want to set my system clock 10-20 years back. I like it how it displays/scrolls the title on the tiny segment display. (Now only displaying "E" for expired)". Thanks to the program "runsadate" you van use that to spoof the system date for any program. "Music stutters in the first couple of seconds and then plays fine - as long as I don't touch anything. Pressing the button shows the green screens with system and song data. When I'm back at the title screen, the music stops.", according to Retrostuff. It seems MAME and CD-i Emulator just can't handle these, even when you try it with a Mono I PAL ROM, which seems to be the only one with acceptable emulation. The same thing seems to happen on every AEI/DMX disc.
