Thanks to the CD-i preservationists and collectors 'Blazers' and 'Seventy7' a previously unknown local CD-i release was discovered: The Italian CD-i game 'GO' was in fact not exclusively released in Italy but a locally translated Spanish version also exists. This is an exciting discovery as GO was planned in more local release lists as well but expected to remain unreleased in many other countries, including the English, German and Dutch release. It was in fact re-released as a prototype in 2002 by Oldergames when an English version wa found as beta release. The Spanish version has the subtitle 'El Fabuloso Juego de Estrategia' while the Italian CD-i release of Go has the subtitle 'Il Piu Antico Gioco Di Strategia'. You can compare here the Spanish version (above) and the Italian version (below)

While previously thought GO was only released in Italy, it has at least seen two releases, in Italy and Spain. That is not to say it is possible other local releases do exist, but they have been kept a secret for many years now!
