This local French CD-i release from 1994 is a new addition to our catalogue and yet unknown again to the CD-i Community. It is the Flammarion Astronomy CD-i version. (Camille Flammarion was a famous French astronomer). There are countless books and digital editions of this it seems, but there is only one interactive CD-i version. This edition was again subsidized by the government via subsidy programs. It offers a history overview, an encyclopedia of historical events, a reference database holding astronomy-related info about stars and planets. It is French only, but it looks beautifully crafted and developed. Soon it will pop up in the other CD-i catalogues, so we can have a closer look at the insides.
