When later this year the new version of CD-i Emulator (possibly, hopefully) will be released, it will not come with the required BIOS files. So it is not a ready to play (download-and-play) program. This is simply because in principle there is still copyright on these BIOS files. To avoid issues, CD-i Emulator asks you to use a null-modem cable and retract the BIOS files from your very own CD-i player, because, you bought that already so you have a license to use it. For many this is of course too much trouble to go through and in 2021 you would say all these files are available online somewhere. Well, that's true but you have to search for it. Most of the time we recommend you to visit Gametronik which offers the classic 910 CD-i BIOS ROM for years now, as well as the CD-i Emulator 0.53 beta4 crack (so again, illegal, but apparently nobody cares).
Following this trend, some CD-i enthusiasts do not shy away to put everything online for free, so here it is. At the same rate as how fast all CD-i releases are becoming available to download online at Archive.org and gametronik.com, you can now also download several CD-i BIOS ROM's, as well as the DVC ROM. Thanks to various people perhaps, not always willing to publish their name with it.
Download the CD-i BIOS ROMs here
Download the DVC ROM by clicking on "cdiemu-0.5.3-beta4.zip" in this link (it is in this package)
Available are the BIOS ROM's of CD-i 210, CD-i 220 and CD-i 490.
