CD-i member Jongg-eater found this interesting CD-i advertizement about some upcoming Manga Video CD's by CD Vision. We also see Akira in here, while this was also published by Polygram on Video CD. This has omething to do with licensing in certain countries we suppose. With a price of around 20 dollar, this was a good deal at the time. We personally loved these Manga Video CD's but in The Netherlands I cannot recall any CD Vision VCD's. We only had the Polygram versions. CD Vision was a UK publisher. Jongg-eater:"These are anime OVAs (original video animations) though the publisher/label "Manga Entertainment", which is now owned by Lionsgate, wanted their Japanese animation releases to be called "manga videos". The term didn't click very well. I actually saw this print ad on a site somewhere"Nice find!
