Here's a beautiful (and unique) line-up of possibly all the big box CD-i releases together, shared by CD-i member Mini. Thanks to our community we know that some CD-i releases actually were treated differently in different countries. (We did not have them here in The Netherlands.) Take these french releases by Infogrames, published by Philips Media France. These games were packaged in a DOS game style, including big carton box and carton inlay, with a beautiful stamped Philips Media inlay inside (either cardboard or even plastic, depending on the release. There was room for an extra CD-i catalogue as well, but for most of it it was just to get more attention. I've never seen these packagings in The Netherlands, only in France. Other games that we found in big carton boxes include Flashback, Secret Mission and The 7th Guest. Thanks to CD-i member Mini, this teh first time we see hem all together.

Of course some releases were also different in other countries. Like the 'Wines of France' box that was actually a wooden CD-i packaging including a bottle of wine. And Cluedo was actually packaged in a big carton box to hold the markers and the score board inside. In this collection we see, from left to right: Mad Dog McCree (including Gun, USA version), Secret Mission, Flashback (Both French versions), Cluedo (This was also available in UK as an english version), Le Journal Interactif 1995, Chaos Control (both again French exclusives), The 7th Guest (UK), Voyeur and two doubles: Secret Mission and Flashback again. Interesting trivia bit that all these big box releases have a jewelcase version of the CD-i game inside.
