Polygram Video released, along with a various catalogue of Video CD titles, a couple of Manga Video CD's as well. In the Nineties, we remember a lot of these Manga videos on VHS tapes, but Video CD releases were a lot more rare. We remember Street Fighter 2, Ghost in the Shell, Akira for example. It seems like publisher 'CD Vision' also released some Manga Video CD's as well, including their own version of Street Fighter 2: Animated. CD-i member Lee Story from our 'Magnavox/Philips CD-i Collectors Club' shared a few of these rare CD-i items with us. Appleseed, Ninja Scroll and Street Fighter 2: Animated.
CD Vision was a UK publisher, releasing various Video CD's on the market. It might be, next to Polygram, the biggest European VCD publisher at the time. Of course, in Japan there was a wide range available as well from Japanese publishers, and we yet have to find our way in what has been released at that time. Even the European titles are hard to come by nowadays.
