You
are looking at the Dutch and Belgian release. The encyclopedia database was
licensed by Standaard, both the Dutch and Belgian version are the same.
But Standaard is well known in Belgium, but it is not in The
Netherlands, this is why the Dutch version was named Philips Media, as
it was a strong name in NL.
It was a difficult task for the producer SPC Vision to come up with a good database that they could use for a digital encyclopedia, as most existing databases were already licensed or not available for a CD-i version. There were quite some versions already available: Compton's Interactive Encyclopedia, the Bertelsmann Encyclopedia in Germany, Hachette Encyclopedia in France, Grolier Encyclopedia versions in Italy...
