One of the first true 'interactive movies' was the Dutch exclusive "De Zaam van Sam".
It
came to my attention that on the disc of 'De Zaak van Sam' it is giving
thanks to Philips Research laboratories Redhill for their support. PRL
Redhill is known for solving disc crashes thanks to the NIRD debugger, created by Paul Clarke. With the NIRD debugger, several CD-i projects were saved from the cancellation pile, and we found more and more stories of CD-i developers who were very thankful that Philips Research developed the Non-Intrusive Realtime Debugger. De Zaak van Sam was made by NOB Interactive in 1997. In "De Zaak van Sam", you are private detective Sam D. Philips and your job is to find Monica, the beautiful wife of Mafia boss Antonio Baresi. You make the decisions in this interactive detective. But be careful, every mistake can be fatal!
