"CD-i was a consumer market commercial failure (i.e. Philips never recouped their total costs), but professional users were all over the place. In those times PC's were much clunkier, often more expensive, certainly typically not plug-and-play." cdifan tells us. It offered new possibilities to professional companies to explore new ways to present their company info in general and specifically, their annual reports. We've seen a couple of Annual Reports on CD-i before, accompanying a paper version. The CD-i was very suitable for presenting the annual results of a company. One of the companies who did that was Agfa-Gevaert. CD-i member Loikeg has a copy: "This is the Philips CDI Video-CD – Jaarrapport 1993 Gevaert; the 1993 annual report on paper together with a CD-i and CD-ROM. The CD-ROM is called‘Interactief jaarrapport 1993’ and the CD-i is named "CD-I ‘Gevaert 100 jaar, een terugblik ...’ (it offers a history video of the company)." There were 6500 discs pressed of this version, which is a pretty high amount for a professional company. It was distributed only internally, it was for employees only. It was produced by Studio Lascaux, based in Edegem, in 1994.
