The Memorex 2200 CD-i player is the only brand who tweaked the design of the first CD-i 910/205 consumer player by Philips

Memorex was active on CD-i with one specific CD-i model: The CD-i 2200. It was a OEM model of the CD-i 205/910. This version was put on the market in USA. It was actually the only model which tweaked the design of the original CD-i 910 a bit. The round disc tray was replaced with a more flat version and the CD-i logo was replaced with the name of the player: a CDI 2200 CD-Interactive Player. The buttons on the right received a darker color on the Memorex player to distinguish them a bit more from the rest of the player, following the darker color of the disc tray. Other than that, the players are identical (except for the logo on the bottom right of course). Also this Memorex CD-i 2200 was built like a tank, it used a lot of metal in the casing and the components inside where all of the first (heaviest) generation. On the back of the player it sais it is a CD-i 205/17T (on the white little sticker). The FCC id tag sais it is a CD-i 910.

If you want to play with one of these: We have a Memorex CD-i 2200 player in the Home Computer Museum in Helmond, The Netherlands.

To compare, below you see the original CD-i 910, the model which the Memorex 2200 CD-i is based on:
