There are still hundreds of missing CD-i discs out there used for very specific applications, like these Burger King CD-i Training discs

Philips CD-i was widely used at professional companies as training instrument, including popular brands like BP Oil, Pepsi Cola and Burger King. The training discs that were produced for Burger King included a trivia test quiz as well lots of FMV material. The Burger King CD-i's were produced in 1996. CD-i member Mother Mole shares his experience with the Burger King CD-i training disc: "It's nowhere near as fun and silly and exciting as those training videos you usually see pop up on youtube. It's an extremely boring FMV disc where you choose multiple choice answers. It's mostly video with a bland voice over. No cheesy music or "rap" portions. It really sets you up for the kind of boring-ass job that Burger King is. Only part that I'd say is "interesting" is the part where they teach you what to do in case of a robbery. Even then though I assume this was the most cost-effective (at the time) way to teach employees. The CD-i system was there around 1998-2000, which is when I was an employee. I was actually interested in the CD-i system and I jokingly asked if I could play any games on it. The CD-i system at my Burger King location was one of those basic units that looked like a VCR instead of the more console-like ones out there. There's dozens of different CD-i systems out there though (probably another reason why they used it, having a big backlog of them."

Until now, the discs have never surfaced, so if you have a copy, please share it with the CD-i Community

[Thanks, Mother Mole]
