Following the popularity of the remastered soundtracks of Link: Faces of Evil and Zelda: Wand of Gamelon a few days back, CD-i member Naean Howlett-Foster now also treated the music of Hotel Mario with the same sound enhancements. Today he releases the unofficial remastered soundtrack of Hotel Mario, a CD-i original Mario game by Philips Fantasy Factory in 1994. Naean: "To finish the trio of all-time CD-i classics, and per CD-i member NeckBeardFriend's interest, I'm happy to release my remastered Hotel Mario music. As per CD-i member coryoon's feedback re' the very large total file sizes of my Link and Zelda remasters, this remaster endeavour is split into 2 sub-albums: A - Extended Edition. (15 minute loop tracks, like the previous remasters.) B - Standard Edition. (Shorter loop tracks.) I'll revisit my Link and Zelda CD-i music remasters in future and give them the same sub-albums treatment, to provide shorter loop track download options." Original 1994 Credits: Theme Music: Jack Levy, Audio Producer: Lisa Brenneis. 2021 Credits: Remaster By: Naean Howlett-Foster Remastering Start Date: 29 December 2020.
Thanks to the development of his earlier Link & Zelda remastered soundtracks, Naean needed far less time to apply the same treatment to the Hotel Mario soundtrack. What programs did he use? The program used for applying audio effects, editing custom loops & rendering MP3 files was MAGIX Software GmbH: VEGAS Pro 14.0 (Build 252) 64-bit. The audio decibel balancing was done with Glen Sawyer, Marc Heubeck & Bill MacEachern: MP3Gain Version 1.2.5, Back end (mp3gain.exe) Version 1.4.6.
[Thanks, Naean Howlett-Foster]
