This is a CD-i prototype of Tetris by Philips POV, featuring alternate music and alternate levels

Earlier this month a prototype of the CD-i game Tetris was uncovered by Seventyy Seven, originating from the CD-i collection of Blazers. Now he has a video of this prototype online which shows the differences compared to the retail version. Blazers: "Tetris is the crown jewel of CD-i gaming, and the soundtrack is one of the best of all time. Yet, earlier versions had different music on the title screen, ending screen, and the desert level. There were also different level arrangements. Not as vaporwavey as the final product was. This is just a quick playthrough of the alternate, earlier version. Level 9 is notable for the Arabesque music that, while not vaporwave, definitely does match the desert environment." It is always very interesting to see the differences in early CD-i prototype. We've never seen an early build of Tetris CD-i before. Many thanks to Blazers for sharing this with us.
