I've always known Lost Eden being a game with "Compact Disc Interactive" printed on the front. A little background on this: Philips released CD-i titles in two formats: Base-Case CD-i did not require the Digital Video cartridge and on the front cover box art it was stated as "Compact Disc Interactive", on the bottom line next to the Philips brand logo. When a title required the Digital Video Cartridge, Philips changed this into "Digital Video on CD-i". A nice quick way to see if a CD-i game requires a Digital Video Cartridge or not.
Several times, this went wrong and the wrong statement was printed on the box art. For example, Christmas Crisis has printed "Compact Disc Interactive" on the front, while it actually required the Digital Video Cartridge (so it should be Digital Video on CD-i). The same counts for Lost Eden. It was printed with "Compact Disc Interactive", a mistake made by the publisher, I learnt recently.
But somehow, of some games apparently second batches exist where Philips was able to correct this. I just discovered a version of Lost Eden that actually sais " Digital Video on CD-i" on the front. It sounds like a small detail, but this means the publisher had to approve a new cover and the publishing was done again, not actually a trivial thing to do.
What does your copy of Lost Eden say on the front cover?
