Only a few CD-i games recently sold for over hundreds of dollars: Next to Zelda's Adventure, people tend to pay a lot for NFL Instant Replay

CD-i member Thomas Ficeto found NFL Instant Replay on CD-i: "Is this really the rarest US CDI game? I was surprised to see it sell for over $400. I hear it's a good game for the CDI. Wish I could find the rom for it to check it out"It is indeed a rare game, it was only released in USA. It is true we don't see it often! It is a trivia game. In my opinion it is not worth that much... It shows digital video clips in full motion video and you play as the referee. You have to decide what to do and apply the rules of the game, you are given multiple choice questions after each clip and like this you work your way to the top (by giving the right answers). It's a nice idea actually, but you'll only succeed if you know the rules of the game!

We don't see many CD-i games selling for hundreds of dollars actually, the only one that exceeds any expectation is Zelda's Adventure, which recently is offered for a price close to 1000 dollars. I'm not sure if people actually pay these amounts of money, but NFL Instant Replay was actually sold for over 400 dollars, that sais something about the rarity and what people are willing to pay for it (especially considering this copy was not even mint but there are markers on the CD.

[Thanks, Exclusive-Editions, Thomas Ficeto]
