From the archive of Kieren Hawken: CD-i press articles about Mad Dog McCree

When Philips launched its Digital Video Cartridge in 1993, the world of CD-i changed a lot. From that moment, CD-i was capable of presenting full motion video and more enhanced videogames came out that year. One of the highlights that was presented by a third party company was Mad Dog McCree, a CD-i port of the Arcade game 'Mad Dog McCree' that was originally developed by 'American Lasergames', but the rights for a CD-i version were in the hands of CapDisc. Many of these FMV Shooters actually came out on CD-i, but Mad Dog McCree was the first one and it really beated the competition by offering high quality screenplay: the resolution on CD-i was by far the best. The press was lyrical on this CD-i game, some stating that finally good games were possible on the CD-i system.
