Cd-i member Dani Velasco Jurado shared some pictures of his Bang &Olufsen BeoCenter AV5 CD-i unit, which originally came with an original Bang &Olufsen CD-i demo disc. That specific disc we have never seen before, nor is it categorized in any CD-i database. It might be store/retail demo that was used to show the possibilties of the AV5 unit. It could also be a demo disc that was shared with every AV5 that was sold, to give customers a flavour of what the AV5 could do at home.
The Bang & Olufsen BeoCenter AV5 was one of most expensive CD-i players as it was integrated in a Bang & Olufsen design TV set. It appears not all versions of the AV5 have CD-i functionality, but we have several members who tell us that the CD-i could be activated through a secret service menu. That would mean that the CD-i player was always inside the AV5, but it was not activated in all versions. Interesting!
