Description from the developer:
It’s just you against baseball’s great pitchers. Your hands tighten around the bat. He winds. The ball screams towards the plate. You swing, the crack of the bat signals a hard grounder through the infield. It’s a hit! ABC Sports presents: Power Hitter offers you the ultimate baseball challenge. Set your line-up from your roster of players. Plan your strategy and make on field decisions. Your base-runner can take a lead or dive back to the back! Call a double steal or a suicide squeeze. The play by play announcer comments on your every move. You’re in the game on you’re on the field.

Game Facts:
In USA this game was updated in 1993 with the new team names of the 1993 season. This release got an updated cover and was released in a normal jewelcase + slipcase.

Review
In the rare occurrence that a ball is put into play, you watch the action automatically played out in a series of short video clips, which aren't bad. The commentary is terrible however, often bordering on embarrassing. Power Hitter has a few novel features like the ability to adjust your stance or initiate a suicide squeeze, but I wish the programmers had concentrated on the basic gameplay instead. Power Hitter is way slow and tedious, and the terrible controls make you feel more like a bored spectator than a player. (by Videogame Critic)
