Game Facts:
This game used original photographs of live actors which were shot with a Sony Mavica, one of the first-ever digital cameras. The camera cost more than $10,000 and saved the images to a 2-inch floppy disk. PF Magic didn’t know anything about the real interior workings of the CD-i player, so they used a library of routines called Balboa from a company called Viridis. They enabled PF Magic to read the data off the CD and so on without having to write assembly language.Development time took about a year. Ernest Adams was the only programmer of the CD-i game.

Review:
Third Degree on CD-i was the first title by PF Magic on CD-i and this interactive Quiz/TV show was exlusively released in USA. If you loved the TV show itself, you will find many recognition here. There are live actors and questions about love, career, family, money, and many others. You need to be with at least 3 people to play this, as this game requires you to 'lie', or trick each other in order to earn points. Third Degree was a gameshow in USA between 1989-1990. A game show wherein a panel of celebrities have to figure out what some people whom are brought out on stage are. Like they could have been pilots during the war, or demonstrated a revolutionary product. And if the panel fails, they win something. PF Magic created a digital CD-i version of this TV Show in 1992. The game was a multiplayer party game aimed at adults and teenagers. The game would show you an embarrassing situation and then you would try to predict what another of the players would do in that situation. If you guessed right, you got points. We couldn’t use video, but we used slide shows with good quality photography, which was unusual at that time.
